The growing industry around two-dimensional (2D) materials, including graphene, is still in its infancy with few formal standards and guidance. Manufacturers need to be confident in the quality of materials they receive, as any variations from suppliers or between batches can affect the structural, chemical and electrical properties of the final product. Our work is giving customers the confidence to drive forward this emerging industry.
Suppliers need independent and impartial experts to advise them, provide certainty in the use of these materials and, ultimately, accelerate their adoption in industry. We are recognised leaders in the measurement of 2D and other nanomaterials, with unparalleled in-house expertise.
Our expertise is demonstrated by the NGMC (National Graphene Metrology Centre) based at NPL which is the only independent provider with the proven ability to assess and benchmark different forms of graphene.
Our experts use their unique measurement capabilities and deep understanding of measurement and uncertainties to provide services to support UK industry and the guidance needed for those working with graphene and manufacturing nano-material equipment.
We design, manufacture and deliver innovative measurement instruments when there is no off-the-shelf solution available. Please talk to us about your exact needs or request a quotation.
