An independent service offering  

The National Graphene Metrology Centre (NGMC) at NPL has joined forces with The University of Manchester’s National Graphene Institute (NGI) to provide support and a consistent approach to characterisation of graphene. It allows the comparison and evaluation of commercially available graphene to help industry exploit the potential benefits and accelerate commercial adoption.

This service will benefit organisations across the supply chain. From producers seeking to demonstrate the quality of their material, to developers seeking confidence in materials when developing products for specific applications.

Tackling the ambiguity around the evaluation of graphene material, the partnership offers an opportunity to measure the key characteristics of a material and how they are suited to specific applications. Users can compare key material characteristics confidently and with a consistent approach.

Enabling consistent and confident evaluation of the properties of graphene via accurate and reproducible measurements, delivered by world-leading measurement experts at the National Graphene Metrology Centre and graphene experts at the National Graphene Institute.
