This year, the UK will host the world’s most important climate conference with a complementary Youth Summit planned for 28-30 September in Milan. The conference, known as COP26, or 26th UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, provides a great opportunity for NPL to extend our climate focused Outreach initiatives and work with the next generation of climate scientists.
Throughout 2021, we will provide opportunities for participants in our Outreach programmes to engage with a range of climate-related competitions, activities and projects, along with the chance to see some of the exciting laboratories where our scientists work and to ask them about their climate related activities.
If you would like to learn more or take part in activities planned in 2021, you can sign up to learn more here (selecting the Outreach and STEM option). Be the first to learn of new activities as they are added to the calendar.
Our measurement challenges are a chance for everyone to have some fun and learn about the science of measurement. This is your chance to be curious, take some measurements and compare your results. Join in, have fun and learn some real practical science! Make sure you measure up...
