Radioactive air filters are used to calibrate detector systems used by air monitoring stations and laboratories. We can provide various filter types including 3M, RASA, CINDERELLA/ARAME and SPALAX. These can be in both full or half geometries.
The filters are spiked with the standard NPL mixed radionuclide solution, with the optional addition of a 210Pb solution. Filters are nominally 5-10 kBq total activity.
NPL can also provide non-standard filters, please contact us if you have other specific requirements.
