Introduction to Time and Frequency Module
In this NPL certified course, we will introduce the scientific concept of time and how it is measured and disseminated. This course is the first in a series from the National Timing Centre (NTC) Programme that will help people to build skills in time and frequency to support the maintenance and innovation required for many sectors of society to function properly.
The National Timing Centre
The National Timing Centre programme (NTC), led by NPL, has started to develop the UK’s first nationally distributed time infrastructure. As the UK’s timing authority, it enables the UK to move away from reliance on GNSS and deliver resilient UK time and frequency that provides confidence to our Critical National Infrastructure.
