NPL has the UK’s world-leading neutron metrology facility, which provides instrument manufacturers with fluence and dose equivalent calibrations for monoenergetic neutrons with a broad energy range, thermal neutrons and radioisotope sources, as well as characterisation of customer radionuclide sources.
This capability can be applied to neutron radiation protection, personal dose meters, reactor neutron instruments, area survey instruments, radiation hardness and neutron spectroscopy.
