Royal Institute of Navigation Fellowship awarded to NPL’s Head of NTC

Dr Leon Lobo, Head of the National Timing Centre at NPL, recognised in 2023 Fellowship awards

The prestigious fellowship is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN). Dr Leon Lobo has been awarded the RIN in recognition of his leadership in developing timing resilience in critical national infrastructure.

Dr Lobo is the Head of the National Timing Centre (NTC) programme at NPL and is focussed on developing and delivering a national timing strategy. The NTC programme is paving the way for trusted time and frequency across the UK.
