Nikolaos completed his 4-year BSc in Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia in Greece where he specialised in Software Development. He joined University College London (UCL), where he attended the MSc Quantum Technologies in 2020. His research project involved Quantum Error Correction in planar hyperbolic surface codes.
At NPL, he explores the automation of single-electron pump measurements, where he develops machine learning based software to automate the measurement process and make predictions. Additionally, he develops benchmarking software for quantum error correction.
