Jake Zipfel

Higher Scientist

Jake is a higher scientist in the atomic sensors group within the Time and Frequency department working on atomic magnetometry. He joined NPL after completing his PhD at the University of Cambridge, working on the “design and optimisation of a novel magnetic detection scheme for encoded magnetic information carriers” within the thin film magnetism group. Jake’s current research focusses on atomic magnetometry and the production of portable quantum sensing systems in collaborations with industrial partners.
