Al Thawer, who works as a senior research engineer in the Chief Engineering Unit at NPL was awarded the title Eur Ing for his experience and contribution to the field of engineering. FEANI the awarding body, is a federation of professional engineers that unites national engineering associations from 33 European Higher Education Area (EHEA) countries and represents the interests of over 6 million professional engineers in Europe.
The EUR ING title is designed as a guarantee of competence for professional engineers. It establishes a framework of mutual recognition of qualifications to enable engineers who wish to practice outside their own country to carry with them a guarantee of competence. It also encourages the continuous improvement of the quality of engineers by setting, monitoring and reviewing standards.
Al Thawer said, “I feel very honoured to have been conferred the title of EUR ING in addition to the Professional Engineer status in California and Texas USA.”
