EPSRC terahertz facility at NPL

EPSRC support will enable UK academia to work with NPL in terahertz (THz)

2 minute read

NPL has been designated as an EPSRC THz facility, serving the UK academic community. EPSRC will support collaborative work between NPL and UK academic partners through standard funding routes. The resources and services of the terahertz facility include:

  • time-domain spectroscopy
  • frequency-domain spectroscopy
  • device characterisation
  • THz communications
  • on-wafer measurements

NPL supports and fosters the academic and industrial applications of terahertz technologies by providing measurement services, characterisation services and consultancy for a range of different applications, as well as active participation in collaborative research projects.

This partnership with EPSRC opens new opportunities for collaborative research projects with UK academia.
