The Innovation for Machinery (I4M) programme gives businesses in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester access to the expertise of four universities and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). I4M will provide up to £50k free support to accelerate the development of the next generation of machinery and create new jobs and growth in this sector. The programme will be administered by NPL with expertise provided by NPL and our partners at the University of Manchester, University of Huddersfield, University of Salford, University of Leeds.
I4M is funded by the UK Research and Innovation Strength in Places Fund (SIPF) as part of the AMPI innovation initiative.
AMPI is an industry led initiative that will drive innovation for the UK’s advanced machinery manufacturers to meet the challenges of developing new technology and entering emerging markets. It will establish and develop economic growth in the design, development and manufacture of advanced intelligent machinery, robotic and cooperative systems. It will also deliver an increase in the skills and knowledge, at all levels, required by industry to sustain that growth.
