Catriona Schmolke CBE FREng is the Non-Executive Director for strategic business growth on the NPL board.
Catriona brings an international perspective to the role, grounded in 35 years of experience in the professional services sector as a scientist, engineer and business leader. She was Group Senior Vice President with US based Jacobs Solutions until 2020 before turning portfolio. She is the Board Chair of Artus Air Ltd, and Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Scottish Water Group and NES Fircroft Ltd.
Catriona was awarded a CBE in the 2024 King’s New Years Honours List for Services to Engineering, and in 2016 was honoured with Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Catriona is a recipient of the Marion Martin Award for outstanding Safety Leadership from the National Safety Council of America has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Engineering from European Women in Engineering & Construction.
Catriona is currently a Trustee and serves as Vice President of the Royal Academy of Engineering. She is the Chair of the Safety Committee and member of the Court at Strathclyde University and is a Visiting Professor in Sustainability at Newcastle University.
