Isaiah joined NPL in September 2023 as a Graduate Scientist after obtaining a BSc in Mathematics at The University of Southampton. He is currently working in simulation, data analysis and software development for electrochemical processes. He uses his knowledge of mathematics to ensure the quality of the models and assists in processing data.
Isaiah's interest in modelling led him to develop a Python simulation of a head of hair under the forces of gravity and wind. He achieved a place on the Dean’s list in 2021 for his outstanding achievement during his degree. In 2022, Isaiah wrote his dissertation on electromagnetism and special relativity, utilising his skill in mathematics to manipulate and draw conclusions from Maxwell’s equations and then understand the problem from a different approach, using tensors.
