Air temperature sensors

Range: -40 °C to +100 °C

Traceable calibration of temperature sensors

NPL calibrates thermometers for use in air, both those incorporated within relative humidity instruments and those used purely for air temperature measurement. These calibrations are performed in air, within a temperature-controlled chamber, by comparison against reference thermometers with traceability to national standards.

Calibration in the NPL laboratory
Range: -40 °C to +100 °C
Best uncertainty: ±0.04 °C between -20 °C and +50 °C (at other values: ±0.08 °C)

Calibration above atmospheric pressure in other gases
