Discovery Day – Secondary Schools, 11 November 2026
Join us at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) for Discovery Day, recommended for students in Years 7–13. This inspiring event introduces the world of measurement, SI units and STEM at the UK's National Metrology Institute. Students can choose from a morning session or a repeat afternoon session. During the event, they will rotate through four hands-on STEM activities and interactive talks designed to spark curiosity and bring classroom learning to life.
Students will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with scientists and engineers, learning what it is really like to work in STEM and discovering the wide range of career paths available. The event is free to attend.
