Toby is a research scientist working in the Electrochemistry Group. Currently, his main area of work is in electrochemical hydrogen pumps/compressors. Previously, he travelled to Canterbury University, New Zealand, to work as a research assistant on a project investigating mass transfer in novel redox flow batteries. Toby graduated from Loughborough University with an MEng in Chemical Engineering in 2021 and joined NPL in September 2022.
