Dr Jennifer Clarke joined NPL in 2017 as a Business Development Specialist focusing on building NPL’s instrumentation sales.
She has a PhD in Ocean and Earth Sciences and a first-class master’s degree in chemistry with Ocean and Earth Sciences, both from the University of Southampton. She previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at GEOMAR | Helmholtz institute for Ocean research in German, with her research focusing on the Ocean Carbon Cycle and developing instrumentation to measure carbon dioxide and other associated parameters in situ.
Since September 2018, Jennifer has been focused on developing NPL’s international business and collaborations, working across the organisation to deliver collaborations, sales and research partnerships with other National Metrology Institutes as well as big science organisations, government, academia and industry. He current focus areas are on developing relationships with South Africa, and the European Space Agency’s European space research and technology centre (ESA ESTEC).
Jennifer is also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and a STEM Ambassador.
