Charlotte works within NPL’s International Development Team where she is responsible for maintaining relationships with key partner organisations around the world, focusing on NMIs and calibration laboratories.
Prior to NPL, Charlotte obtained a Physics BSc from University of Southampton. She then worked in the Nuclear Industry, specifically on control systems for civil reactors. Notably during this time, she oversaw development of a neutron flux detector manufacturing facility and was technical lead on specialist coating techniques. She also spent substantial time in the US as subject matter expert on the design of safety critical radiation detection systems for a new reactor design.
This technical experience, gained within an international forum, naturally led Charlotte to want to work at NPL to deliver similar impact. She joined in 2017, when her initial focus was instrumentation sales. Her role has since grown to cover NPL’s international business, including collaborations and commercial sales.
