Build Your Future at PGI Skills Camp 2026
The Postgraduate Institute for Measurement Science (PGI) would like to invite all PGI Students and NPL early career researchers to register for its Skills Camp 2026. This is the PGI’s key annual development event, bringing together experts in forecasting and responding to what employers will be looking for.
Why should you attend?
We can anticipate that the global talent market of the future will be increasingly competitive, fast-moving and shaped by rapid advances in technology. Employers will need people who can adapt quickly, learn continuously and work confidently across disciplines, sectors and cultures.
Future-ready talent will therefore need more than technical knowledge alone. The behaviours that will matter most include flexibility, resilience, collaboration, creativity, curiosity and the ability to respond constructively to change. Over the two days, you will develop the skills needed to navigate uncertainty, work effectively with changing technologies and help you advance in your career pathways.
Get the Most from Our Diverse Training Programme
The event is on the 23-24 November. We recommend that you register for the two days to get the most out of the diverse training, but you can also register for one of the days only.
Highlights this year include:
Day one
- Active Networking with Skillfluence – build confidence, strengthen your professional presence and learn how to make a strong first impression.
- Evening Dinner and Social – relax, connect and enjoy time with the PGI cohort.
Day two
- Managing Relationships with React – explore real supervisor/line manager scenarios through engaging actor-led role‑play.
- Future-ready skills workshop – exploring what skills you need to develop adaptable mindsets, confidence with technology, strong communication skills and the ability to apply knowledge in unfamiliar contexts.
