Developing good stakeholder relationships is key to any large programme, and the National Timing Centre benefits from a centralised office to manage their ever growing network. The National Timing Centre is a government funded programme launched in 2026, run by NPL, requiring strong links to government and industry across the UK.
Lily comes from a technical physics and communications background, having worked in science communication in Australia before a PhD in atomic and molecular physics in Spain. Following a postdoc in astrochemistry at University College London, Lily joined NPL in 2021 to contribute to mass spectrometry imaging research. Through a strong interest in science policy and the ecosystem for research and development in the UK, Lily undertook an 18 month secondment in academic engagement with the academic engagement office, before making the transition to stakeholder management.
