William Lee joined the Surface Technology group as a Research Scientist in March 2022. He had previously worked at NPL as a Junior Scientist in the apprentice scheme, working in the Gas Analysis and then Composite Materials groups. He then stayed on as an Assistant Research Scientist in the Composite Materials group before leaving to study Physics at the University of Kent.
His current research is centred around chemical metrology for nanomedicines – using techniques such as atomic force microscopy, analytical centrifugation, gas physisorption and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for physical and chemical measurements of nanoparticles.
William is a member of the Institute of Physics.
