Stacie Hoffman is the Head of Strategic Growth and Department for Data Science and AI. With over a decade of experience, she is an internationally recognised expert on the intersection of technology and policy, specialising in the technical standardisation of critical and emerging technologies. Prior to joining NPL, Stacie was Head of Digital Standards at the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). Before joining DSIT, she worked as a consultant specialising in digital policy and cyber security. She has a passion for translating complex technical and policy issues for a wide variety of audiences and has worked with policymakers, global organisations, and leading experts from around the world. Stacie is an accomplished author and public speaker, and was a regular news commentator in the UK and abroad, including on BBC World News. She holds a Masters in Media Governance (Internet Governance) from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors in Communication and International Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
