Rong Xue

Higher scientist

Rong Xue completed her Ph.D. at Tsinghua University in 2022. Her research fields during her Ph.D. mainly focus on quantum entanglement generation and manipulation, and measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution (MDI-QKD) of frequency-nondegenerate photons. She is proficient in optical quantum experimental measurements via optical fibres, and also have experience in establishing optical quantum information experimental platforms via free space.

Rong joined the Quantum Information group at NPL after graduation. Now she continues to work in the quantum fields. Currently she works in the quantum random number generator (QRNG) and the quantum network projects.

Areas of interest:

  • Quantum entangled source
  • Quantum network
  • Quantum key distribution
  • Quantum random number generator
