Rob joined NPL in 2018, in the same year he completed his Ph.D. studies from the University of Surrey in experimental nuclear physics. Since he joined NPL he has worked in the nuclear metrology group mainly focussing on gamma-ray spectrometry and spectroscopy, with particular work in Monte Carlo radiation transport. Rob also is working on digital coincidence counting (DCC) techniques by way of beta-gamma coincidences and gamma-gamma coincidences.
Rob is a member of the Institute of Physics and currently a member of the Nuclear Industry Group committee within the IOP.
