Parth Bhandari joined the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in September 2023 as a joint PhD student between the Quantum Information Group at NPL and the London Centre for Nanotechnology, University College London (UCL). He joins NPL whilst on the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) programme in Delivering Quantum Technologies at UCL, where he did his MRes research project with NPL’s Quantum Sensors on quantum-limited amplifiers. His PhD continues this research, focusing on the development and operation of quantum-limited amplifiers in the high-frequency regime with a focus on parametric effects. In 2022, he achieved an MSc from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali, India.
