James Skinner joined the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Teddington, UK, in November 2016. He specialises in VNA calibration and S-parameter metrology and is involved in the maintenance of the primary national standards for impedance measurements and the maintenance and development of systems for traceable S-parameter measurements from kilohertz to sub-terahertz frequencies. His research interests include metrology for sub mm-wave waveguides, cryogenic coaxial measurements and optimisation of VNA calibration and verification techniques for coaxial, waveguide and on-wafer measurements
