Dr. Enass Abo-Hamed MBE is a distinguished scientist-entrepreneur and strategic leader in AI and clean energy. She co-founded and led H2GO Power Ltd, an award-winning University of Cambridge spin-out developing AI-driven energy storage technologies, which exited via technology sale.
Holding a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a subsequent post-doctoral fellowship there, she was elected University Energy Champion. Today she serves on the Advisory Board of BeyondNetZero (General Atlantic’s $3.5 billion growth fund), is a Board Trustee of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a member of the External Advisory Board of Airbus STAR and is recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
With 15 years of leadership in AI, advanced technology, sustainable energy production and storage, Enass passionately drives technology innovation, energy security and clean-energy policy. She is a sought-after international keynote speaker and contributor in high-impact roundtable forums on AI, clean energy, resilience and energy security.
Enass has received top honours including an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours List 2023; the Visionary of the Year award by MIT Technology Review (Innovators Under 35 Europe); recognition as one of the “100 Most Powerful Women in Engineering” by the FT; and Best Energy Start-Up at the Global Hello Tomorrow Summit, among others.
