Danni is NPL's Public Sector Affairs Manager. She develops and leads on NPL's engagement strategy with public sector contacts, and owns key relationships between NPL and the UK Government. Danni re-joined NPL in 2025, after being with the lab previously in a Policy role in 2019-2020.
Danni has been in the science and innovation policy space for the 8 years, and was selected as a Foundation for Science and Technology Future Leader in 2024. She formerly developed and led the skills and talent policy programme at the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB), a UKRI backed think-tank where she spent three years, and developed the Centre's impact strategy. She spent two years leading various policy areas at the Institute of Physics.
Her background is in social policy and research - she started her career as a primary researcher at Which?, the Consumers Association, and has undertaken various freelance research projects on areas of social change - including for St Mary's University, and the West London Action for Children counselling charity. Her Masters degree is in Bioarchaeology.
