Ben has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Kings College London and a Masters in Materials Science from Cranfield University. Ben started his career as a Consultant, Project Manager and Technical Lead, working on a wide range of Low Carbon Technology (LCT) and Smart Grid Projects, prior to making a career change into Business Development.
Ben joined NPL in 2015 as a Business Development Manager focussing on LCT and Smart Grid projects and programmes. In 2018, Ben was promoted to Strategic Business Manager, with responsibility for a multi-million pound portfolio of business across numerous Energy and Environment sub-sectors including; Renewable Power Generation, Energy Vector, Oil and Gas Supply, Hydro-Carbon Power Generation, Transport, Industrial Feedstock and Carbon Capture Usage & Storage. Ben’s current focus is predominantly around supporting Government, Industry, Academia and other key stakeholders, in the development and deployment of innovative technologies required in order to meet Net Zero targets.
