Anu holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry and began her NPL career within the Nuclear Metrology Group in 2018. Her initial work focused on multiple measurement services using techniques including NPL's ionisation chamber and gamma spectroscopy for calibrations.
Anu has been instrumental in many large projects including the refurbishment of our nuclear metrology lab, acquiring new balance and implementing initiatives to increase safety in our labs. She is supporting mass spectrometry-based research and commercial projects, development of radioanalytical procedures for accurate measurement of decommissioning naturally occurring radionuclides, ensuring chem-inventory and radiochemical for nuclear medicine.
Her immediate focus is on large area 2π proportional Detector, designed for calibrating large-area alpha and beta sources. She has also been actively involved in sharing NPL values via educational outreach programmes.
