Andre Alvarenga

Andre has a Degree in Electrical Engineering and an MSc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering, both in ultrasound. He has experience developing systems to acquire, analyse and present ultrasound data, specifically on hydrophone-based ultrasound field measurement systems, techniques for measuring ultrasound power and acoustic properties of materials. Andre joined NPL’s Ultrasound and Underwater Acoustics group in 2022 and has been working in ultrasound field characterisation and elastography. He is currently a Senior Scientist.
