Radionuclide Calibrator Users' Forum (RCUF)

The Radionuclide Calibrator Users' Forum acts as a focal point for discussion of problems and dissemination of information between users of radionuclide calibrators.

It enables participants to pool knowledge and share experience, thereby minimising any duplication of effort when problem solving and implementing best practice.

A more detailed description of the forum's aims and activities can be found in the Terms of Reference.

Various NPL publications have resulted from RCUF activities, or are relevant to members. Some of these publications are available to download free of charge.

Measurement Good Practice Guide No. 93 is now available:
Protocol for Establishing and Maintaining the Calibration of Medical Radionuclide Calibrators and their Quality Control

GPG 93 abstract:
Guidance is given on the quality controls that should be undertaken on a routine basis for medical radionuclide calibrators to ensure the accuracy and traceability of measurements of the activities of radiopharmaceuticals. Sources of error and magnitudes of associated uncertainties are discussed.
