Biography

Camilla Dondi is a Scientist in the Biometrology group at NPL. She is currently undertaking a PhD jointly between NPL and University College London to study cell-matrix interactions in novel scaffolds using correlative imaging techniques.

Prior to joining NPL in 2019, Camilla completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering in the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering pathway of Imperial College London. The research focused on characterising an injectable hydrogel patch for myocardial regeneration after infarction.

Camilla joined NPL to pursue her interest in bioengineering, biomaterials, and molecular biophysics. Her work focuses mainly on the development and characterisation of biomaterials for 3D cell culture and virus-like particles for therapeutic delivery, using various biological assays and optical microscopy techniques.
