Enabling lone worker safety software across the NHS

Glow is an award-winning mobile app developer and web design agency. Their SafeTeam Guardian software package is used by the NHS to rapidly improve safety for large numbers of mobile workers, provides real time situational awareness and delivers detailed evidence for workers to plan their service delivery.

Glow applied to the M4R programme to access NPL’s expertise, to test their programme and formally benchmark its accuracy in the field.
Glow’s SafeTeam Guardian stores anonymised patient locations, bases and hospital locations and provides a real time view as mobile workers move through the community. Health workers can log their location and managers are able to understand at a glance who is at any given location. If necessary, the technology also allows mobile health workers to trigger an automated emergency response from their phone.

This independent study will be invaluable in proving the capabilities of the technology in protecting lone health workers in the field, every hour of every day.
