Jamie Potter joined NPL in April 2021 as a Higher Scientist in the Quantum Materials and Sensors group. Jamie studied for his PhD within the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Delivering Quantum Technologies at University College London, finishing in March 2021.
In his PhD project he studied the behaviour of superconducting nanowires, and from this he brings to NPL strong experience in the fabrication and measurement of superconducting quantum nano-devices. In his new role, he will be working on developing SQUID-based quantum limited amplifiers as part of the recently funded Quantum Technology for Neutrino Mass project.
