Biography
Chris joined NPL in 2019 following 8 years working within the automotive industry. During this time, his focus was split between deploying production-ready measurement systems and strategies for global manufacturing projects, whilst collaborating with machinery and instrumentation manufacturers and RTOs, to fast track the adoption of novel metrology solutions into industrial applications. Chris has a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Ulster, and a Bachelors degree in Sport Technology from Loughborough University.
Areas of Interest
Chris is focused on working collaboratively across NPL, academia and industry to ensure that dimensional metrology’s current and future research areas are addressing priority themes and challenges as outlined by both government and industry. Utilising his experience of working with UK and international manufacturers, Chris is active in the creation of new links between NPL and industry, with a particular passion for supporting and strengthening the UK’s SME network.
