The role of measurement in climate action

Online event exploring current research to support net zero targets

Join NPL, the Postgraduate Institute for Measurement Science, the University of Bristol, University of Edinburgh and Royal Holloway, on 11 November, as they explore the critical role measurement plays in understanding and responding to climate change.

NPL and university partners across the UK are working, through the Detection and Attribution of Regional greenhouse gas Emissions (DARE-UK) project and UK-DECC Network funded by NERC and BEIS, to provide confidence in delivering accuracy and reliability to greenhouse gas emissions estimates, that governments, regulators and industry can rely on.

This live online seminar, taking place on 11 November, 13:00 – 15:30, offers attendees the opportunity to hear about the very latest research in this area via short talks and panel discussions with speakers from NPL, the Met Office, Ricardo and Airbus. Attendees will also have their questions answered directly by the experts.
