NPL expert appointed Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Alice Harling, Head of Atmospheric Environmental Science at NPL, has been appointed Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the chemical sciences, as distinguished in the management of a chemical sciences organisation.

Royal Society of Chemistry Fellowship denotes to the wider community a high level of accomplishment in the recipients’ field and their invaluable experience, expertise and commitment to promoting the value of Chemical science.

Alice Harling said: “As Head of Department, I oversee the operations and delivery of the science projects and strategy, supporting scientists and overseeing a wide breadth of work in this area. Becoming an RSC Fellow gives me recognition for my accomplishments in chemistry at NPL, and shows the importance of the management of science, which isn’t always as well noted. Through this award, my peers of the Royal Society of Chemistry also recognise the work I have done and its impact.”
