NPL and the National Engineering Laboratory (NEL) are hosting a webinar series on Enabling Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage, 6 – 8 October, to discuss and prioritise crucial measurement needs to support the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies alongside the potential to utilise the captured carbon (CCU).
The webinar series will be run across 3 consecutive days, with 2 hours for each session and each with a focus on a different theme; starting with Capture on Tuesday 6th, Transport and Storage on Wednesday 7th and closing with Usage on Thursday 8th.
As the UK’s National Metrology Institute, one of our key roles is understanding current trends in industry and identifying new measurement challenges and CCS is regularly the topic of a lot of conversations. Through this webinar series, NPL and NEL aim to gather input from attendees to inform a report that will direct future metrology research, with the broad aim of helping accelerate the commercialisation and success of CCUS in the UK.
Attendees are able to register for all 3 sessions or individual webinars. Sessions will feature guest speakers from the Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC), Silixa, BP and the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA).
