Thermal Imaging Metrology

  • Thermal imager calibration
World class, state-of-the-art, blackbody calibration sources for UKAS accredited thermal imager calibrations from -40 °C to
+3000 °C, for all short-, mid- and long-wavelength systems, with excellent uncertainties.

  • Thermal imager (fixed point) validation system (TIVS)
Unique innovative in-field-of-view fixed-point calibration system, developed for healthcare applications, providing three in-image calibration sources at near body temperature.

  • Consultancy
Thermal imaging (TI) thermometry is a growth area due to the rapid increase in thermal imaging systems. If you have a specific TI thermometry measurement requirement, and wish to discuss it with an expert, we would be happy to hear from you. Short one-to-one discussions through to full consultancies can be arranged.

  • Research and development
NPL collaborates widely across all sectors in the development of new state-of-the-art TI measurement solutions for applications. If you have a future measurement requirement or have a concept you would like to develop in partnership with NPL, please get in touch.
