Phoneclock
A program called 'Phoneclock' has been produced by NPL for use with the NPL Telephone Time Service. Phoneclock is intended for use on PCs running most current versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is compatible with Windows NT, 95, 98 and 2000, and will normally run under Windows XP.

Phoneclock Installation Guide
A Phoneclock installation occupies about 1.7 MB of disk space. To install:
- Download PhoneclockInstall.exe (
EXE 1.3 MB) and save it to any directory. When installation is complete, this file can be deleted. - Run install.exe. The installer will prompt you to confirm or modify the directory to which Phoneclock will be installed. The default is 'C:Program FilesNPLPhoneclock'. This directory will be created if it does not already exist. Click 'Next' to continue.
- You will be prompted to confirm the name of the new item in the .Programs. section of the Windows Start menu. Click ‘Next’.
- The installer will display a summary of the actions it will perform. To abandon installation, click .Cancel.. To install Phoneclock, click 'Next'. Phoneclock will be installed to the specified directory, and commands to run or uninstall Phoneclock will be added to the Start menu.
When Phoneclock is running, press F1 at any stage for context-sensitive help.
The following files will be extracted:
- Phoneclock.exe - The main application
- PhoneclockIcon.exe - The taskbar icon manager
- uninst.exe - The uninstaller
- phoneclock.hlp - The Help file
- phoneclock.cnt - The Help contents file
- _isreg32.dll, _deisreg.isr, DeIsL1.isu - All used by the uninstaller
The installer will create the following files in the Windows directory (this file may be used by other applications);
- uninst.exe - Used by the uninstaller.
