The new hybrid analyser instrument is the first SIMS (secondary ion mass spectrometry) instrument with an Orbitrap mass spectrometer allowing ultra-high mass resolution.

The instrument will be officially launched by Sir Colin Dollery at the NiCE-MSI Science & Technology Day and 3D OrbiSIMS launch event on 29 November 2016.

The instrument joins our recently-acquired IONTOF TOF-SIMS.5 with FIB-SIMS tomography and an IONTOF TOF-SIMS IV in our continuously expanding NiCE-MSI laboratory.
