Biography

Simon R Schmidlin was born in Buchs SG, Switzerland in 1985.

He received the Master of Science degree in physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland in 2009, where he wrote his master dissertation in the group of Prof Andreas Wallraff (ETH) about the generation of amplitude and phase controlled microwave pulses for qubit manipulation in Circuit QED.

Current Interests

Simon commenced his PhD in 2009 at the University of London under supervision of Dr Phil Meeson, in collaboration with NPL, and is currently working in the Time, Quantum and Electromagnetics Division on an electrical current standard based on quantum phase-slip.
