Cat Fitzpatrick

Cat Fitzpatrick is based at NPL, where she is using quantum-dot single-photon sources to carry out quantum optics experiments.

Biography

Cat received an MPhys in Physics from the University of Surrey in 2006. This included a research placement at the Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory, Yale University.

She started an EngD in Optics and Photonics in 2008, which forms a collaboration between NPL and Heriot-Watt University. She spent her first year constructing a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector system at Heriot-Watt University.
