Airborne nanoparticle number concentration detectors such as Condensation Particle Counters (CPCs) are a key part of many measurements for vehicle emissions, ambient air quality, occupational exposure and other applications.

The NPL airborne nanoparticle metrology laboratory maintains a UKAS accredited facility for the calibration of such instruments (REF), through comparison with our standard aerosol electrometer that has been calibrated against NPL's electrical standards. In addition, NPL is actively involved in international comparison campaigns for these measurements.

NPL can offer a flexible calibration to meet the needs of different applications including vehicle emissions and air quality measurements.
