NPL is involved in a EU Framework 7 funded support action to address the need within Europe to develop the required measurement framework to successfully support the development and economic exploitation of nanotechnology.

The project has a number of themes including:

• The development of a European strategy for nanometrology
• The facilitation of a number of key European nanometrology action groups
• The co-ordination of education and skills
• The exploitation and development of infrastructures
