Industrial Advisory GroupsThe Composites and Polymeric Materials Group use a broad range of measurement technology to understand material behaviour, supporting businesses of all sizes.
Industrial Advisory Groups (IAG) acts as focal points for open discussion and views in support of current research projects. Membership of IAGs is free and provides an easy mechanism for collaboration on research projects.
Typically there are two or three meetings per year where progress is reported and reviewed.

The Composites activity focuses on the performance of materials and structures.
The next meeting of the IAG is scheduled for the 28th March 2012
Polymeric Materials and Multiscale Properties IAG
The Polymeric Materials research focuses on the processing properties of fluids, and the performance of polymeric materials.
The next meeting of the IAG is scheduled for the 29th February 2012
Advantages of IAG membership include the following:
- Direct input and technical steer of the project
- Industrial ownership of the work
- Opportunities for direct participation in the technical activities
- Early access to project outputs
- Networking opportunities - with colleagues with similar interests and activities
- Influencing follow on projects
- Collaboration with NPL
In addition to collaborating with NPL on core research topics through the Industrial Advisory Groups there are a number of mechanisms by which collaboration and interaction can occur: click here for more information.
