MTDATA TrainingData Assessment
The MTDATA advanced course aims to give an introduction to the process by which thermodynamic parameters appropriate for inclusion in MTDATA databases are derived from experimental data. Participants are given practical experience of assessing thermodynamic data using MTDATA's ASSESSMENT module and are guided through the modelling of a sample system.
The exact programme for each course depends upon the needs of the trainees, but typically covers:
- Databases and data sources
- Data assessment tools and techniques (MTDATA's ASSESSMENT module)
- Estimating thermodynamic parameters
- MTDATA databases
- Unary data
- Modelling solution phases
- Comparimng calculations and experimental data
- Limitations of equilibrium calculations
- Data compatibility
MTDATA Data Assessment Courses held at NPL last two days and cost £1500 (ex. VAT) per person for the 2 days. A basic knowledge of thermodynamics and a familiarity the MTDATA user interface(s) and with text editors are assumed.
