Controlled Cryogenic Comparator (CCC) bridges are used in top-level measurements of resistance.
This poster explains the development of a completely digitally controlled CCC resistant rotary bridge that enables accurate resistance measurements to be made at NPL. The only external influence on the bridge is a fundamentally inevitable noise source, by definition impossible to avoid, which comes from a nanovolt amplifier.
